Hahn Environmental Services BDM Steven Clifford-Ames attended this week's Queensland Gas Conference & Exhibition in Brisbane to focus his energies on waste recovery opportunities in the CSG industry.
The two-day event attracted well over 1000 attendees and 80 exhibitors, bringing together industry suppliers and operatives in one of Queensland's fastest growing mining industries.Hahn BDM Steven Clifford-Ames reports the event provided good insights into issues addressing the industry, including finance, labour, environmental regulation, to community engagement.
Of interest to Hahn was the keynote presentation by Andrew Brier, General Manager - Coal & CSG Operations with DERM heads the LNG Enforcement Unit, who offered insights into DERM's involvement between the industry and community on environmental enforcement. Mr Brier's team of inspectors will be monitoring and auditing CSG sites in Queensland, ensuring compliance with legislation.
Hahn Environmental are working with mining companies in the CSG industry to develop world's best practise waste to energy solutions and will work closely with DERM to ensure compliance is achieved.
