Hahn CEO Allan Lear Set to Break Guinness World Record in AugustWork has begun on transforming the vehicles for Hahn CEO Allan Lear's World Record attempt later this month. A mini is in the process of being converted to not only run on ethanol fuel, but house 2 wind turbines capable of charging batteries stored inside.
Cameras mounted inside the mini are set to capture all the action as Mr Lear himself attempts to travel the longest distance on an electric bicycle in 1 week. To break the record Mr Lear must travel over 1200 kilometres, however he's looking to take it one step further and exceed 1600 kilometres by travelling from the Sunshine Coast to Birdsville in remote western Queensland - arriving in time for the annual Birdsville Races.
Mr Lear will also be accompanied by several support team members on bikes. The trip is set to be carbon neutral, with fuel for the event (a pure ethanol fuel) being produced by discarded fuel scraps from local businesses. The fuel has been produced by Hahn Environmental, who are also the largest manufacturers of biodiesel in Queensland.
Mr Lear is known for his passion for lowering our carbon footprint, and has been working towards a complete cycle management philosophy at Hahn Environmental. This journey aims to promote awareness of our vehicle carbon footprints, and offer ways in which to reduce our global impact.
The journey is set to begin on August 24th on the Sunshine Coast......stay tuned for updates as the mini is further transformed!
