The Hahn Environmental Wind Genenerator Mini Nears Completion!Hahn Environmental's Guinness World Record Attempt at the longest trip on an electric bicycle is gearing up with physical completion of the mini. "Another half day repainting and adding finishing touches and branding and she'll be ready to go" reports CEO and chief project engineer Allan Lear.
The mini started as a red and black flood damaged reject, and careful engineering and crafting over the last couple of weeks has transformed the mini into a mobile wind generator which will charge the bicycle's batteries en route to Birdsville, a distance of 1600 kilometres.
The mini houses safety features including turbine cage, vehicle warning lights to alert nearing traffic, and a special green fluorescent bulb - which unlike yellow bugs which deter insects, actually attracts them! Staff at Hahn have nicknamed the beast the "big green bug catcher" - as when in motion, any insects attracted to the light will soon after meet their maker through the turbines. Ah, the serenity!
Stay tuned for further updates as we prepare for launch!
